How to reach?

Le Picard *** campsite is ideally located for visiting Bayeux (Queen Mathilde's Tapestry, the Museum of the Battle of Normandy), the beaches of landing Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc but also the town of St-Lô, Cerisy la forêt and its Abbey St Vigor, without forgetting the Musée de la Mine 5 kms away in Le Molay- Littry or the Château de Balleroy and its Balloon Museum.

Le Picard campsite can equally be considered as short stopover before visiting Le Mont St Michel (1h30 from the campsite), St Malô (1h30) or Caen (45 minutes).

By road:

 

GPS coordinates: 49°13’53’’N 0°55’58’’W

  • Coming from Molay-Littry, pass through the village of Tournières and turn left opposite the church.
  • Coming from St-Lô, follow Bayeux D572 then Le Molay-Littry and Tournières. On arrival at the village of Tournières, turn right following Cerisy-La-Forêt.
  • From Cherbourg, take the N13 direction Bayeux/Caen then Le Molay-Littry.
  • From Caen, take the N13 direction Bayeux, then exit 37 Le Molay-Littry, following Le Molay-Littry and Tournières.

By train:

  • Paris St Lazare – Cherbourg
  • Lison train station 5 km away
  • Molay-Littry train station 5 km away
  • Bayeux station 20 km away

 

By Ferry:

  • Cherbourg at 80 kms 1h,
  • Caen/Ouistreham 37 km away

 

By plane:

  • Caen Carpiquet airport: route de Caumont 14650 CARPIQUET
